Sitting down to write poetry can be a daunting task, even for well-practiced hands. In this intimately-sized workshop, we will harness the alchemy of limited time and intentional community to create new work in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will guided through the careful process of creating new work, from blank page to completed first draft. Workshops will include hands-on instruction, small-group feedback sessions, discussion of contemporary poems curated by Phil, weekly writing and share time, and opportunities to connect outside of the workshop. Participants will complete the workshop with several new pieces of work, a new community of writers, and writing tools that extend beyond the reaches of the workshop. All experience levels welcome!
